Welcome to Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate!

Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate strives for each child to promote their physical, mental, social and cultural development through movement.

OSU!

Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate is a non-profit association and a company with the goal that everyone should be able to practice martial arts and Kyokushin Karate regardless of age or gender.

Through the formation of NKK, we want to spread the teachings of Kyokushin Karate founder Masutatsu Oyama to our young people in Sweden.

Sensei Stig Brink

NKK’s founder and chief instructor is Sensei Stig Brink. He started practicing Karate at the age of four and now has over thirty years of experience in the sport.

In 2017 he started Nynäshamn’s first and only karate club and today he has a group of over 40 students and they train three days a week.

Karate for everyone!

We believe that everyone should have access to movement and therefore also offer training for children and young people with special needs, for those with various forms of disabilities and for our senior citizens.

Everyone, regardless of gender, origin, age, faith, social class and language, are welcome to visit or train with us.

Want to join our club?

To be able to train with us, you need to be a member of NKK, but it’s fine to drop by the premises and have a look or try it out before you decide. We are currently located in Gröndalshallen, Idunvägen 25, Nynäshamn.

Send us an email and we will reply with more information!

Sociala Medier

We believe in actively working to identify everyone’s individual strengths, abilities and talents and based on this help each other grow and develop self-esteem and independence!

Karate School

The karate school is a concept where, in addition to the practical training, we also teach the theory and basics of Karate’s history and philosophy.

Karate Kindergarten

It is important that all children experience the joy of movement in a social community.

Karate Kindergarten is an initiative to include even the younger children who has an interest in karate and martial arts.

Fellowship & solidarity

At Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate we work actively to create fellowship and safe relationships between the students.

When the students gets the chance to do things together that strengthen the group, a we-spirit is created. The feeling not only makes the group feel better, it also gives the leader better conditions to lead.

Shiraz Dojo

Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate resides in Shiraz Dojo. Shiraz Dojo was established in 2021 in collaboration with Shiraz City AB and is the gathering place for the Karate School, Karate Kindergarten and Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate.

Shiraz Dojo aims to become a future meeting point for various types of martial arts in Sweden, where children and adults can meet in community.

Have fun with us!

In addition to the scheduled karate training, we regularly have other kinds of activities with the aim of having fun together, getting to know each other and strengthening the group.

Here we present a little of what we had in store for us last year!

Zoo

Snow training

Barbeque

Water training

Summer Camp 2022

Every year we have summer camps with lots of training, overnight stays and swimming. This year we stayed at Nynäs Sportboende. The days were packed with outdoor training from morning to night and the students were real fighters despite the hottest weekend of the year.

We had time for steep slopes at six in the morning, a late night walk, card games, cozying up with coffee, barbecue and of course our traditional water training where the students get to try training in deep water with dogi on!

We are already looking forward to next summer!

Swedish traditions

Culture and traditions are important, they contribute to safer self-awareness, empathy and increased understanding of other people and other cultures. It’s a useful tool to counteract racism and negative stereotypes.

At Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate, we regularly pay attention to our Swedish holidays. In addition to that, we of course take the opportunity to celebrate other kinds of holidays as well when we get the opportunity!

NKK on YouTube

On our YouTube channel we post the latest videos from training and other activities.

Nynäshamn Kyokushin Karate regularly invites parents and other relatives to train with us and every season and every holiday NKK has an Open House where we invite Nynäshamn to train with us for free.

It is a good opportunity for us to be able to meet the families of our students but also new potential members. It is also an opportunity for you to meet us, see what we do and ask questions about our business!
